This little park is a bit of a secret in East Vancouver. There are no “welcome to your park” signs, and no parking lot, and other than the paved trail leading up from the sidewalk, no indication that it is up there! But if it’s a nice day and you’d like a picnic with a view, definitely check this one out!
This park is located off of 192nd: 3910 SE 192nd Ave, Vancouver, WA 98683
It was part of the Lewis and Clark Trail (you can find it on google maps as “Lewis and Clark Trail Stop”. It is near the new Columbia Palisades development. The road through Columbia Palisades is a private drive up to the new construction, so please don’t drive through there, as there is no park/viewpoint parking.
You can park in the lot by QFC on 192nd, and use the sidewalk to reach the path up to the park. It is a bit of a climb, but short, and worth the effort when you reach the top! You can also ride your bike up there if you are up for the challenge!
This park does not have restroom facilities or water, so please plan accordingly. There are stone benches or places you can lay a blanket out on the grass. There is an interpretive sign where you can learn more about the spot, and it is dog-friendly, but please keep your puppers on a leash. There are trash-cans available so you don’t need to pack your garbage out with you, but please do use the cans!
